Prior to founding TMT Partners in 2001, Mark was with Deutsche Bank in Australia for over 11 years. During this time he was responsible for establishing and building the leading telecommunications and media investment banking team in Australia and New Zealand. Mark was ranked the number one individual adviser in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors in the inaugural East Coles survey of Australian Corporate advisers (February 2000). He was also ranked number six among the top 10 individual advisers across all sectors in the same survey.
In May 2000, Mark became a Managing Director and the Head of e-Business for Deutsche Bank in Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Bank’s Australasian Management Committee.
In July 2001, Mark left Deutsche Bank and established TMT Partners. Between 2001 and 2007 Mark was responsible for advising a broad range of growth companies and private equity firms operating in the telecommunications, media and technology industries in relation to acquisitions, divestments and capital raisings.
In 2007, TMT Partners was acquired by Wilson HTM Investment Group Ltd and Mark became Head of Corporate Finance for Wilson HTM. In 2009, Mark became Head of Capital Markets for Wilson HTM with management responsibility for Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Equities Research and Institutional Sales. During this time Mark was also Chairman of Wilson HTM’s Underwriting Committee.
In 2010, Mark left Wilson HTM and re-acquired TMT Partners to continue his interest in working directly with growth companies in the telecommunications, media and technology industries.
Mark has Bachelor of Arts (double major in Accounting and Economics) and Master of Applied Finance degrees from Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mark specialises in providing advice on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, public and private capital raisings and capital structure.
